WPL: I just want to enjoy my cricket - Tanya Bhatia

Mumbai, Mar 3, (Fast Mail News):-- The Delhi Capitals team is busy preparing for the inaugural edition of the Women's Premier League (WPL). The league starts on Saturday, 04 March 2023. Regarding this tournament, wicket-keeper batsman Tanya Bhatia said that she only wants to enjoy her cricket.

 

Bhatia, who played 53 T20 Internationals for India, said, "I just want to enjoy my cricket. This tournament is like an international competition because we are getting to play with legendary players from all over the world. I want to improve my mind during the competition."

 

Meanwhile, leg-spinner Poonam Yadav, who has taken 98 wickets in her T20 International career, said that the WPL will take women's cricket to the next level, adding, "Women's cricket will go to a higher level through WPL." This will help women's cricket to reach new heights."

 

 

 

 Poonam also talked about the moment when the Delhi Capitals team got together for their first training session earlier this week, saying, "From the moment we stepped out of our rooms, there was a lot of excitement. We were in a new set-up. A new jersey and a new kit bag. It was an exciting moment to interact with new teammates as well."

 

The Delhi Capitals team will face the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday, 05 March 2023 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
