WASHINGTON:Susan Diane Wojcicki, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the global online video sharing platform YouTube, has left her post. Along with this, Neil Mohan of Indian-American origin has been made the new head of YouTube. Neil Mohan was till now the Chief Product Officer in YouTube. Along with this, he will also be in the role of Senior Vice President of YouTube. YouTube Creators gave this information by tweeting.

Neil Mohan has been associated with YouTube since November 2015. According to his LinkedIn profile, Neel Mohan has done his MBA from Stanford University. He started his career with Accenture as a Senior Analyst.

Susan Diane Wojcicki is a Polish-American businesswoman. She has been associated with the tech industry for more than 20 years. She was the CEO of YouTube since February 2014. Wojcicki, 54, told that she wants to spend more time with her family. She wants to focus on her health and personal life. That's why she is leaving the post.

Wojcicki was one of Google's earliest employees and has been with parent company Alphabet Inc for nearly 25 years. Prior to Google, he worked at Intel Corp and Bain & Company. Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin said in a statement, 'Susan has made an excellent contribution to making Google big. We are very grateful for all the work done by him in the last 25 years.

Sundar Pichai, CEO of YouTube's parent company Alphabet Inc., is also of Indian origin. Google is also owned by this company.

People of Indian origin are running many of the world's biggest tech companies including Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayan and IBM CEO Arvind Krishna. This reflects the dominance of people of Indian origin in Silicon Valley.
