Airtel's 5G service reached 500 cities of the country
New Delhi, Mar 24, (Fast Mail News):-- Telecom company Bharti Airtel has left behind Reliance Jio by expanding its 5G network to an additional 235 cities. With this, Bharti Airtel's 5G service is available in a total of 500 cities in the country, while Reliance Jio is providing this facility in 406 cities.
The private sector telecom company said in a statement released on Friday that Bharti Airtel's high-speed 5G service is available to customers in 500 cities across the country. Airtel has added 235 more cities to its network. The statement said that the company is adding 30 to 40 cities on its 5G network every day.
Airtel Chief Technical Officer Randeep Sekhon told that Airtel was the first company to offer 5G services, the service was launched in October 2022. Sekhon said that by September 2023, our 5G network will be extended to the entire urban area of the country.
The central government had set a target of providing 5G service to 200 cities of the country by March 31, 2023, although this service has so far reached more than 900 cities of the country.
