ANGUL:Security in and around 3000MT NTPC Kaniha which provides power to 17 Indian states have been tightened in the wake of India-Pakistan tension. The additional general manager of Human Resource development Navneet Kumar said the Central Industrial Security Force which is in the charge of the security of the power plant has been asked to tightened security measures in and around the power plant.
NTPC Kaniha happens to be the second largest power plant in India.
Speaking to this paper,he said so far there has been no communication from the state government about enhancing security measures. But NTPC of its own has tightened security in the power plant. He said the NTPC authorities also keep an eye not only on the power plant but also at its residential colonies.
