Cancellation of UGC-NET exam is a defeat of Modi government's arrogance: Mallikarjun Kharge
Congress President Kharge wrote in his X handle that cancellation of UGC-NET exam is a victory of the spirit of lakhs of students. "This is the defeat of the arrogance of the Modi government due to which they made a despicable attempt to trample the future of our youth",he said.
Kharge said that the Union Education Minister first says that no paper was leaked in NEET. When arrests of education mafia are made in Bihar, Gujarat and Haryana, the Education Minister admits that some scam has happened! The Congress President asked when will the NEET exam be cancelled?
He said that Modi ji, take responsibility to stop the rigging and paper leak of your government in the NEET exam too!. kharge in "X" handele said,"This is the first time I have heard this" I am going to tell you, "NEET What is this "what is this"?
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has also reacted and targeted PM Modi. He wrote on his ex handle, “Every year the non-biological Prime Minister does a grand tamasha of 'Pariksha Pe Charcha'. Yet, his government cannot even conduct an exam without leaks and cheating-
• The NEET UG 2024 exam is facing very serious questions, which even the Education Minister has been forced to admit. There are serious doubts over the integrity of the National Testing Agency (NGA).
• The UGC-NET that is now being held has been cancelled last night.
In fact, the non-organic Prime Minister's government has been disastrous for India's education system-
• The CUET (Common University Entrance Test) has made a complete mockery of Class 12 exams.
• The professionalism of NCERT, UGC and CBSE has been destroyed.
• The New Education Policy of 2020, instead of making India's education system future-ready, only serves as the Nagpur Education Policy 2020.
This is the legacy of an MA in Political Science in its entirety. Will he ever speak on 'Leak Pe'?"
The decision of the ministry comes amid a major controversy over alleged irregularities in the medical entrance exam 'NEET' (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) and the matter is now in the Supreme Court.
Breaking tradition, this time the National Eligibility Test (NET) was conducted in "pen and paper mode" on a single day (June 18), in which 11 lakh students registered for the exam.
A senior official of the Ministry of Education said that this examination will be conducted again, for which information will be shared separately.
Through the UGC-NET examination, eligibility is determined for Indians for Junior Research Fellowship, appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD in Indian universities and colleges.
