AMETHI:The Congress office in Amethi was allegedly attacked late last night in the presence of the police, people who came in a vehicle carrying the BJP flag, beat up the workers standing outside the Congress office and vandalized dozens of vehicles.

While sharing pictures and videos after the attack, Uttar Pradesh Congress has directly alleged on social media that BJP has been panicked due to fear of defeat in the elections and that is why the Congress office has been attacked.

In a message posted on Twitter, UP Congress has said, "Fear of defeat, BJP workers vandalized dozens of vehicles parked outside the district office in the presence of the administration in Amethi. District President Pradeep Singhal  was present in the office itself. The miscreants were chased away from there, but the police remained a spectator as if everything was happening at its instigation, that is why the Congress has resorted to such meanness and meanness. The party and Rahul Gandhi's "Babbar Sher" are not afraid of anyone.

A written complaint has been lodged at Gauriganj police station, on the basis of which the police have filed a case. Police  said legal action is being taken after investigation.

"Smriti Irani and BJP workers are badly scared in Amethi, UP. Frustrated by the visible defeat, BJP goons armed with sticks reahed outside the Congress office in Amethi and the vehicles parked there were attacked and the vehicles of local people were also damaged in this incident. The police administration stood as a mute spectator. This incident is a witness that BJP is going to lose badly in Amethi",Congress party said.
