England all-rounder Will Jacks ruled out of IPL 2023

New Delhi, Mar 16, (Fast Mail News):-- England all-rounder Will Jacks has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Jaques was bought by RCB in the IPL auction in December for Rs 3.2 crore.

During the tour of Bangladesh, Jaques was ruled out of the entire series due to a hamstring injury in the second ODI. He has been forced to pull out of the IPL this week after a scan and specialist advice.

According to ESPNcricinfo, RCB are currently in talks with New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell as a possible replacement for Jaques.

Bracewell hasn't played in the IPL and went unsold during the auction. His base price was Rs 1 crore. RCB will start their season against Mumbai Indians on 2nd April. This will be their first match since May 2019 at their home ground, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Jaques made his England debut in all formats this winter. He received his T20I and Test caps during the tour of Pakistan last year before making his ODI debut in Bangladesh.

He has played two Tests so far, scoring 89 runs and taking six wickets for England. He has scored 27 runs and taken one wicket in two ODIs and scored 40 runs in two T20Is.

In the shorter format, he has played 109 matches and scored 2,802 runs in 102 innings at an average of 29.80, including one century and 23 fifties. He has a strike rate of 157.94 across formats.
