Extremely proud to represent Associate Nations in WPL 2023: Tara Norris

New Delhi, Mar 1, (Fast Mail News):-- American fast bowler Tara Norris, who has taken four wickets in five T20 Internationals, is the only player from an Associate nation in the inaugural Women's Premier League (WPL). Norris was bought by Delhi Capitals in the WPL auction in February for Rs 10 lakh.

Before the WPL, Norris said, "I definitely want to make all the associate countries proud. I have a voice for those players. A lot of girls struggle for funding and facilities. I want to raise awareness for the allies." And hopefully next year more players will join."

When asked if he watched the WPL auction, Norris said, "I didn't watch the auction until I finished training. I got a message from Alex Hartley asking me only as a USA cricketer." Congratulations on being selected not only as a representative of the Associate Nations, but also as

Norris also said she would try to learn as much as she can in the WPL, saying, "There are some world class players here and luckily I'll get a chance to train with some of them. I am looking to learn as much as I can. Also, I have never been to India before. I need to learn about the conditions and climate here."

Delhi Capitals will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in their first match of WPL 2023 on Sunday, 05 March 2023 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
