Talcher Medical College will be fully functional from this year
Addressing a public meeting at Talcher college public ground ,Pradhan announced that the Talcher Medical College will be full-fledged functional from the current year with the students taking admission.
He said,Pabitra Mohan Talcher College and Hospital was built by public sector coal India Limited while erstwhile BJD state government has not spent anything for it. Pradhan also said that besides the Medical college, Angul district headquarter hospital will be developed to meet the health aspirations of the district.
Stating that a new KV school has come up in Talcher, he said this would boost the education system in the industrial belt. Pradhan also said though Talcher is an economically advanced area due to industries and coal mining it lacks in education, compared to Athamallik, Kamakhyanagar and other areas.
Referring to the double engine government in the state, Pradhan thanked the Majhi government for deciding Adarsha Primary schools to be set up in each panchayat of the state. Not only that he patted the state government for extending midday meal facilities up to 10th class in the state. He claimed that the central government has decided to provide broadband facilities in the high schools of the state.
Dhenkanal MP Rudra Narayan Pani attended the function and spoke also.
Earlier, at Dhenkanal Kamakhyanagar the central education minister not only inaugurated the temporary campus of Kendriya Vidyalaya at Kamakhyanagar but also inaugurated rupees 10 crore under pass of NH-53.
Addressing the function he said Kamakhyanagar will be connected by National Highways from all sides and passenger train will start plying on Angul-Sukinda rail line very soon. He also said that the double engine government will ensure the integrated development of Kamakhyanagar in field of education,agriculture,health,communication and in other fields.
Among others Dhenkanal collector Somesh Upadhya was present on the occasion.
