Immigration department stopped & interrogate Amritpal Singh's wife Kirandeep Kaur at Amritsar airport.
According to Punjab Police sources, Kirandeep Kaur, wife of 'Waris Punjab De' chief Amritpal Singh, was picked up by the Punjab Police from Sri Guru Ram Das International Airport in Amritsar. She was trying to board a flight to London. According to airport sources, Amritpal Singh's wife Kirandeep Kaur was to leave for Birmingham by an Air India flight at 2.30 pm. At 12:20 pm the immigration counters got the information and he was not allowed to travel by immigration as he was a LOC subject.
According to sources, Kirandeep Kaur reached the airport at 11.40 am. He had a flight at 1.30 pm. Kirandeep was going to UK. Seeing his name in the list, immigration stopped him and questioned him. Security agencies are also questioning Kirandeep Kaur.
Kirandeep and Amritpal were married a few months after he took over as the head of his organization 'Waris Punjab De'. Kirandeep Kaur was questioned by the Punjab Police on the issue of foreign funding for the activities of Amritpal Singh.
Significantly, the Punjab Police had taken action on March 18, 2023, against Amritpal Singh, the head of Waris Punjab De Sangathan and his associates. During this the police arrested hundreds of his associates and supporters. However, Amritpal managed to escape along with some of his close associates. Since then the police is constantly looking for him. The police are also questioning his family members and close friends. Amritpal has been declared a fugitive by the Punjab Police. A case has been registered against him under NSA.
