Kharge Targets BJP-ECI: Alleges Conspiracy to Disenfranchise 8 Crore Voters in Bihar !
Kharge claimed that the BJP is getting entangled in its own "conspiracy."
Kharge said that the Congress party has been opposing the "Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls (SIR)" from the very beginning.
He questioned why voters who have consistently participated in elections are now being asked to show documents to exercise their voting rights.
The Congress president accused the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of conspiring to forcibly deprive the poor, weak, marginalized, Dalits, oppressed, and backward communities of their voting rights.
He claimed that this move would affect nearly 8 Crore people.
He further alleged that due to mounting pressure from the opposition, the public, and civil society, the Election Commission hurriedly published advertisements stating that voters now only need to fill out a form and are not required to show documents.
Kharge described this step as part of a "BJP tactics to mislead and confuse the public."
He asserted that the truth is that the BJP has resolved to crush democracy but retreats cunningly when faced with public opposition.
Calling Bihar the birthplace of democracy, Kharge expressed confidence that the people of Bihar would give a befitting reply to this "BJP attack" on democracy and the Constitution in the upcoming elections.
