Indian Air Force Jaguar fighter jet crashed in Haryana’s Ambala

AMBALA: An Indian Air Force Jaguar fighter jet crashed in Haryana’s Ambala district on Friday. However, the pilot managed to eject safely in time and the injured pilot was airlifted by an army helicopter to a nearby hospital,according to reports.

Reports said,though the jet crashed caused panic in the area,the relief is that neither the pilot nor any civilians suffered serious harm.

 

The Indian Air Force posted on the social media platform X, stating, “Today (Friday), during a routine training flight, an Indian Air Force Jaguar aircraft crashed in Ambala due to a system malfunction. Before ejecting safely, the pilot maneuvered the aircraft away from populated areas. The Indian Air Force has ordered an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.”

Images of the crash site surfaced following the incident. Immediately after the accident, the injured pilot informed his superiors, prompting swift action. With the help of an army helicopter, the pilot was quickly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Local police teams arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area. In addition to the local police, the army’s rescue team also reached the site. The investigation is currently underway.
