Jharkhand: 18 Kanwariyas Killed, Several Injured in Tragic Road Accident Near Deoghar

(Fast Mail):-- In a horrific road accident in Deoghar, Jharkhand, 18 Kanwariyas lost their lives, and several others were injured after a bus carrying Kanwariyas collided with a vehicle transporting gas cylinders around 4:30 AM near Jamunia jungle in the Mohanpur police station area.

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey posted on the social media platform X, stating, “In my Lok Sabha constituency Deoghar, during the Kanwar Yatra in the month of Shravan, 18 devotees lost their lives in a collision between a bus and a truck.”

Dumka region’s Inspector General of Police, Shailendra Kumar Sinha, said, “A 32-seater bus carrying Kanwariyas collided with a truck transporting gas cylinders near Jamunia jungle in Deoghar’s Mohanpur police station area.”

Deputy Superintendent of Traffic Police, Laxman Prasad, stated that the injured are being sent to hospitals.

An official noted that due to the critical condition of several injured individuals, there is a possibility of the death toll rising. The official added that the district administration has been informed, and the injured are being transported to nearby hospitals and primary health centers.
