Kharge : 'Amrit Kaal’ has become ‘Mrit Kaal’ for students, demands immediate resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should now break his silence and discuss the “exam leak” issue.
Mallikarjun Kharge lashing out at the Modi government said on ‘X’: “In the Modi government, ‘Amrit Kaal’ is proving to be ‘Mrit Kaal’ for students appearing in entrance exams. Many students have committed suicide due to the shock of the NEET question paper leak.”
Naming the students as Ritik Mishra from Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh, 20-year-old Anshika Pandey from Delhi, Pradeep Meghwal from Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan, and a student from Bengaluru living in Goa Kharge said, “Some had been dreaming of this since childhood, while others staked everything on the expectations of their families and prepared for years. But the corrupt and incompetent system of the Modi government has crushed their dreams.”
He added, “Unemployment was already destroying the future of the youth. The BJP-protected question paper leak mafia is tearing apart the government’s claims of conducting fair and transparent examinations.”
Taking a dig at the Prime Minister, Kharge said, “Prime Minister Modi has now started doing ‘fact checks’ himself… Yesterday he posted about ‘Ease of Living’, but maintained complete silence on the NEET question paper leak and the suicides of students.”
Kharge alleged that the officials against whom questions were raised in the NEET-2024 paper leak case were not punished; instead, they were given plum postings. This, he said, is why the future of youth is being looted every year.
He demanded that the Union Education Minister resign immediately and said, “Modi Ji, please discuss the exam leaks. Staying silent will not help.”
