Modi government's foreign policy is like a wild pendulum : Kharge
The Congress president commented on PM Modi on Friday regarding reports of lifting the ban on Chinese companies and statements by US President Donald Trump.
He said that PM Modi claims he will not let the country bow down, but what is happening is the complete opposite.
In fact, Kharge's statement came after reports that the Modi government is lifting the ban imposed on Chinese companies.
Kharge, wrote on X: The claim was "I will not let the country bow down", but what is happening today is the exact opposite”.
The Congress leader said, "The ban on Chinese companies, in place for 5 years, is being lifted. The sacrifice made by our brave Indian soldiers in Galwan was already insulted by Modi ji when he gave China a clean chit. Now, by rolling out the 'red carpet' for Chinese companies, he is showing how deep the 'red colour' is in his 'red eye'."
Raising questions on the Modi government's foreign policy, Kharge further said, "US President Trump is commenting daily on India's Russian oil exports. But Modi ji is silent. He is averting his gaze. The 'sir' talk appears more like 'surrender'."
Earlier, the Congress party had also posted about the reports of lifting the ban on Chinese companies. On Friday, citing a news report, the Congress claimed that the Modi government is now proposing to lift the five-year-old restrictions on Chinese companies so that they can bid for Indian government contracts.
The opposition party also claimed that this step is nothing less than a "deliberate policy of surrender" in the face of Chinese aggression.
The Congress also demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi explain this "U-turn" in his government's China policy during the upcoming Budget session of Parliament.
Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh shared a news report on 'X', claiming that India's Finance Ministry is planning to end the five-year-old restrictions on Chinese companies bidding for government contracts.
There was no immediate reaction from the government on these claims.
