Myanmar conducts air strike near India border, panic in Mizoram

Naypyidaw: The Myanmar Army bombed a major rebel camp along India's border with Mizoram. The air strike has spread fear and panic in areas of the state's Champhai district close to the camp. At least one shell fell towards India during the air strike. According to an official in Champhai district, there were no casualties, but a truck was damaged on a riverbank near the border.

In other parts of Myanmar, such aerial bombardment has led to tensions with Bangladesh and Thailand. The Myanmar military began airstrikes on Camp Victoria in Chin State on Tuesday  afternoon and continued into the night. The China Human Rights Organization said five of its cadres, including two women, were killed in the attacks. The raid was also conducted on Wednesday.

According to information, an aerial-strike has been carried out on Tuesday  on the Victoria Camp of the Chinese National Army (CNA) on the instructions of the military government of Myanmar. It is worth noting that the Chinese National Army has launched a rebellion against the military regime of Myanmar. The CNA is headquartered at Victoria Camp, bordering Myanmar, bordering the north-eastern state of Mizoram in India. The Myanmar army has dropped bombs from its fighter planes on this headquarters.

Residents of Farkon village in Mizoram, within a radius of 2 to 5 km from Camp Victoria, panicked after hearing the sound of shelling. The people working on the Indian side of the Tiau river fled to their homes hearing the sound of the bomb. However, there has been no official response from India on this air strike. Indian military sources said that the bomb had fallen in the river. A Mizoram government official based in Champhai district said a truck was damaged in the attack on the border with India. Officials said they are keeping a close eye on the area but there has been no immediate impact.
