NTPC Kaniha celebrates Engineers’ Day with Safety Training for Plant workers

KANIHA: Aimed at fostering a safer environment, a series of safety promotional activities were conducted today at NTPC Kaniha.

The event started with administration of safety pledge by HOP Sh. AK Sehgal to all participants.Then program followed by demonstrations on the correct practices of Hot work, height work by Video mode.

 

 On the spot quiz conducted allowing participants to ask questions and engaged with guess the hazards.Total 25 workers were motivated by token gifts by senior officials.Senior officials Sh. SS Rao, GM (ADM),Sh. C Satya Rama Krishna, GM(O&M) addressed the gathering and expressed the significance of safety, highlighting how they help prevent accidents and raise awareness at workplaces. In his concluding address HOP(TK) Sh. AK Sehgal opined that "By equipping people with the right knowledge, equipments and proper guidance and supervision , the number of avoidable accidents can be reduced and also highlights the critical  significance of safe working on each human life ".

The event organized by Safety Department  of Kaniha brought together all workers of Unit #2 OH in association with MTP, HR and all other Maintenance Dept. In the end, around 1200 workers were distributed lunch packets.
