Pradhan attends string of programmes in Angul

 ANGUL: The union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan was in Angul today and attended a string of programmes in Angul and Dhenkanal districts. In the morning today,he went to Bana Durga temple at Hindol and paid darshan to the mother goddess. Then after Pradhan went to Talamul village of Angul district where he offered prayers at Sani Mandira.

Later, the minister came to Banarpal where he laid the foundation of two crore rupees worth of developmental projects.This include the development of Banarpal chhak involving rupees 1.25 crore,innovation of Gotamara tank of rupees fifty lakhs and the development of local junior college of rupees 25 lakhs.

Speaking of the occasion Pradhan said that with this allocation there will be a development of Banarpal chhak with beautification and electrification. He has instructed TATA Steel foundation to be a part with the development of local education, health and employment. He said Gotamara village is a historical village of Banarpal block where Lt Adwait Prasad Singh took birth.He hoped that with this allocation of rupees two crore,the village and periphery will be developed.

 

 He proposed the installation of the statue of Singh near Gotamara tank.He said with the allocation of rupees 25 lakh to PSSJ College,the students of the college will be benefited in a great way.Later,the union minister participated in Man Ki baat programme of Prime Minister at Angul along with BJP leaders.

On the advice of the prime minister, Pradhan promised to reduce ten per cent consumption of oil in his family and advised to follow the suit.Later, participating in the eradication of TB in a function Pradhan stressed to make TB Mukt Bharat as a people’s movement.

Later,Pradhan attended the RPDAC meeting of MCL and left for Sambalpur.
