Principal Director General of PIB Rajesh Malhotra took charge

New Delhi, Mar 01, (Fast Mail News):-- Rajesh Malhotra took over as Principal Director General of Press Information Bureau (PIB) on Wednesday. The notification of his appointment was issued a day earlier on Tuesday itself. He will replace the retiring Director General Satyendra Prakash. Rajesh Malhotra is a 1989 batch officer of the Indian Information Service. He effectively steered the media and communication policy in the ministries during the Corona pandemic.

Rajesh Malhotra has over 32 years of experience in planning and implementing media strategies for various Central Government Ministries and Departments including Finance, Company Affairs, Agriculture, Power, Coal, Mines, Communications and IT, Textiles, Labour. In addition, Rajesh Malhotra was associated with the Election Commission of India for 21 years (1996–2017) as in-charge of media and communications. He worked for the planning and implementation of media and communication strategies during the General Elections to the Lok Sabha. During this tenure, he has worked closely with 12 Chief Election Commissioners.
