Son kills mother in Angul village

ANGUL:A 23-year-old son has killed his mother on a minor issue this morning in village Susuda under Angul town police station.The deceased has been identified as Lata Naik,60 while the accused name is Sarat Naik,23.

He has allegedly killed her mother by hitting with a wooden plank when his mother refused to give him money. Saroj is a habitual drunkard who always beat up his father and mother in his house.

IIC Dhiraj Das said that Saroj today morning asked his mother to give money to take drinks. His mother expressed her inability to give her money as her husband is a daily wage earner.When she refused to give money Saroj got infuriated and brought a wooden plant and hit on her head .His mother Lata died on the spot.

After the incident villagers informed police who reached on the spot.Police seized the weapon of offence and arrested Saroj.Saroj was forwarded to court on the charge of murder. The body was sent for post mortem report.The husband of the deceased Sudhakar Naik has lodged an FIR in the police station that his wife has been killed byhis son Saroj when Saroj was denied money.
