Sports Minister calls wrestlers for talks, advised Brijbhushan Singh not to give statement

 NEW DELHI:Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has called the wrestlers sitting at dharna against the wrestling fedaration.The minister said that he can visit anytime, he is at home all day for the players. Anurag Thakur, Sports Secretary, DG SAI is waiting for the wrestlers to arrive. Wrestlers can arrive for the meeting in a while where he can offer to form a committee. Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik have left the protest site. However, he did not interact with the media before leaving Jantar Mantar.

Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has spoken to wrestling association president Brijbhushan Sharan Singh over the phone amid ongoing protests by wrestlers. Anurag Thakur has asked Brijbhushan Singh to refrain from making any statement in the media. He told Brijbhushan that giving a statement will worsen the situation.

Sports Minister Anurag Thakur will hold a second round of talks with the wrestlers today afternoon after yesterday. DG (DG) and SAI (SAI) have met the wrestlers in the morning.

 

 

 Before this, Anurag Thakur tried to explain the wrestlers in a meeting that lasted for about 4 hours on Thursday night. He has also assured of action. But wrestler insisted on his resignation. Due to this, no result could be reached in the meeting and the wrestler left without talking to the media.

Wrestlers have opened a front against the President of the Indian Wrestling Association Brijbhushan Singh. They are not ready for anything less than the appeal of Brijbhushan. The Sports Minister has asked the players to wait for Brijbhushan Singh's reply.

The ministry had given 72 hours to respond to Brijbhushan Sharan on Wednesday. The Sports Minister has assured the wrestlers of strict action after the reply. On this issue, the wrestlers have made up their minds to fight back and forth. They are not ready for anything less than the resignation of Brijbhushan Singh. He clearly says that Brijbhushan Singh should resign and the wrestling association should be dissolved.
