'There is a factory of ‘Babas’ in the country, it should be closed': RJD MP Manoj Jha

NEW DELHI: Speaking in Rajya Sabha, RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha said that a factory of Babas has come up in the country and this factory should be closed. Such superstitions are being born inside every religion,he alleged.

Speaking on the motion of thanks on the President's address in Rajya Sabha, he said that all political parties should take a common political will that no VVIP should visit any temple or dargah. The difference between fanaticism and religiosity is getting blurred in the country. We are a religious country, we have been a religious country for thousands of years. Fanaticism is a new thing here. This practice should also be stopped from the constitutional point of view,he said.

“Factory of religious Babas has come up. Their production should also be stopped. Such superstitions are being born inside every religion”,he said.

He raised the issue of economic inequality in the House. Manoj Jha said that this inequality will bother more in the coming years. I have no problem with billionaires. But the gap between people is increasing. We know that no one has a quick solution to unemployment. But what is the blueprint for unemployment? The first condition for solving the problem of unemployment is that it is necessary to believe that there is unemployment.

He said that two out of every three youths are unemployed. “There is an institution in Bihar which conducts examinations for higher posts. The curriculum vite of that institution says that in the last few years no examination has been conducted without rigging. If you go there and seek justice, the youth are lathi-charged”,he said.

He said that he is a teacher in Delhi University, the draft regulation of UGC has just come. This draft regulation is the death sentence of the university. It is anti-university, anti-teacher and anti-student.

Jha asks if there any plan to hand over the entire education system to private hands? A white paper should be issued regarding the recruitment of teachers and what is the status of reservation for SC, ST, OBC in universities and other institutions?
