Tripura Assembly elections: Amit Shah's big attack on Left, Congress and Tipra Motha, says its a triple-trouble alliance

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday appealed to the people of Tripura to vote for the double engine government of the BJP to save the state from the triple-trouble gathbandhan of CPI(M), Congress and Tipra Motha Party. Give Without naming anyone from the opposition camp, Amit Shah said the CPI(M) did not do any development for tribals during its 25-year-long rule, but now to woo tribal voters, it has chosen "a tribal leader" as its chief ministerial face. But they don't know that they won't get any votes this way."

In fact, CPI(M) state secretary Jitendra Chowdhary is being seen as the main contender for the chief minister's post in case the Left-Congress alliance comes to power in Tripura, though there is no confirmation yet. Its mention in the joint programme of both the parties has strengthened people's speculations whereas, TIPRA led by Pradyot Kishor Manikya Debbarma is contesting on 42 out of 60 seats in the Motha assembly.

Addressing BJP's Vijay Sankalp Rally at Chandipur in Tripura's Unakoti district, Home Minister Amit Shah said Tripura saw development only during BJP rule. Earlier "corruption, hooliganism, political violence were everyday matters" in the state. Apart from enumerating the development works done by the BJP-IPFT government in Tripura, much of Shah's speech was aimed at the Left-Congress partnership. He said, “This partnership is proof of the weakness of both those parties, as they knew that they could not take on the BJP alone. ,

Amit Shah said, “Communists killed many Congress supporters in the past. Despite this, both the parties have now formed an alliance. They should be ashamed of themselves. Both these parties are the same. They don't want development. Both those parties only want corruption. He reiterated his comments to Tipra Motha, saying that the party was trying to help the CPI(M)-Congress alliance from behind.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the BJP's 'double engine government' alone can get rid of the opposition's "triple trouble coalition" and work on development in Tripura. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's promise of development on the HIRA (Highway, Internet-way, Railway and Airways) model of development will continue if the BJP comes to power in Tripura. After this, Amit Shah did a road show from Jogendranagar Railway Station to Agartala City Center. It covered several assembly constituencies including Town Bardowali, Agartala.
