UP SIR 2026 : Voter Count Reaches 13.39 Crore, Record 84 Lakh New Voters Added
Following this extensive exercise, the total number of voters in the state has risen to 13,39,84,792 (13.39 crore).According to the new list: Male voters: 7.30 crore (54.54%) Female voters: 6.09 crore (45.46%)
The gender ratio has also improved significantly and now stands at 834 (females per 1,000 males).A massive increase of 84.28 lakh new voters has been recorded in the total count. Notably, 14.29 lakh new voters were added in the 18-19 age group alone.The districts that saw the highest number of new voters include Prayagraj, Lucknow, Bareilly, Ghaziabad, and Jaunpur.Timeline of the Revision Process:The revision process began on 27 October 2025.
The enumeration phase ran from 4 November 2025 to 26 December 2025.
The draft voter list was published on 6 January 2026, which showed a total of 12,55,56,025 voters.Male voters: 6,88,43,159 (54.83%).
Female voters: 5,67,08,747 (45.17%)
Third gender: 4,119
18-19 age group voters: 3,33,981
Gender ratio at that time: 824
After the publication of the draft list, claims and objections were invited from 6 January to 6 March 2026. All claims and objections were then disposed of, heard, and verified by 27 March 2026. The final voter list was published on 10 April 2026.
Political parties actively participated in the entire process. 5 important meetings were held at the state level with recognized political parties.
