Youth Congress Celebrates PM Modi's Birthday as 'National Unemployment Day'

During the event, Youth Congress President Uday Bhanu Chib stated that PM Modi is not only a 'vote chor' but also a 'job chor.' He added, "That’s why we have raised the slogan 'Job Thief, Leave the Throne".

According to a press release issued by the Indian Youth Congress, the organization's workers set up a tea and Pakoda stall as part of the symbolic protest, decorating it with black balloons.

"The main objective was to highlight that today, despite having degrees, the youth of the country are forced to run tea and pakoda stalls",the release said.

Speaking on the occasion, Youth Congress National President Uday Bhanu Chib said, "Unemployment is at its highest in 50 years. Rahul Gandhi ji has proven, and we reiterate today, that Modi ji is a 'vote chor' and a 'job thief' too."

He further stated, "Modi ji promised to provide 2 crore jobs every year to the youth of the country. By that account, 16 crore youth should have been employed by now. But the reality is that while 16 crore jobs were not provided, 22 crore job applications were received."

On 'National Unemployment Day,' thousands of youth, under the leadership of Youth Congress President Uday Bhanu Chib, took to the streets of Delhi and clearly stated, "Vote Chor,Gaddi Chhod! The one who steals votes is the same one who steals jobs. Come to the crossroads, Modi ji, the public is waiting to push you off the throne. Modi ji, enough of your empty promises... now give us jobs!”.

“ The youth of the country will push you off the throne”,he said.

However, Delhi Police attempted to stop the Youth Congress's protest. The police put up barricades to prevent the Youth Congress workers from marching.

The Youth Congress stated that protesting is their constitutional right and it is their duty to take the voice of the people to those in power. They questioned, "Are Modi and Shah so scared that they have to resort to using the police? 'Vote Chor,Gaddi Chhod’ ".
