Akhilesh criticizes CM Yogi for changing 'deadline' of their goals
In a post on 'X,' SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said, “Those who fail in their work change the ‘deadline’ of their goals, not the future of the country or the state.”
Targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government in the state, he said, “In 2021, BJP leaders claimed that by 2024, Uttar Pradesh’s economy would become a trillion-dollar economy (one thousand billion dollars), and now in 2025, they are saying that by 2029, Uttar Pradesh’s economy will be a trillion dollars.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Friday, said in the state assembly that, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state is moving toward becoming a trillion-dollar economy.
Replying to questions from Samajwadi Party MLA Dr. Ragini Sonkar during the question hour in the assembly on Friday, Yogi said, “Due to the efforts of the double-engine government over the past eight years, it has become the second-largest economy, and I assure the entire House that by 2029, Uttar Pradesh will also become a trillion-dollar economy”.
