Angul district administration preparing ATR on attack by MLA

Angul:On the orders of chief electoral officer Angul district administration is to submit action-taken report on the alleged attack by Chhendipada BJD MLA on a BJP worker during the poll at Simili Sahi booth yesterday.”We have received the instruction from CEO and accordingly we are preparing action-taken report for the attack yesterday by MLA Susanta Behera on a voter at Simili Sahi booth of Chhendipada constituency. We will submit the report as per the time frame set by CEO”,said ADM,Angul Sarat Mohapatra.

On the polling day yesterday when polling was on at Simili Sahi polling booth of Chhendipada assembly constituency local BJD MLA Susanta Behera had reached there. He then allegedly attacked a BJP worker Sidhartha Sankar Sahoo and injured him. There was a tension in the booth area after the incident.BJP workers protested the incident and lodged a police affair online.

Chhendipada MLA Susanta Behera when contacted denied having attack the BJP worker saying that he had gone to see the polling in booth. While he came out of the booth,BJP workers passed provocative comments which tempted him to react.

He said a counter FIR by him has been also lodged in Chhendipada police station.
