Angul : Highly decomposed body of Kaniha woman recovered from field , gang rape suspected
While it is highly suspected that the woman was burnt after being gang-raped. But police is yet to confirm the gang-rape angle. It has pressed the scientific team and dog to prove the sensational event. There was almost a skeleton that was found by the police.
Police sources said, the woman belongs to Ludhajhari village of Kaniha area who was working in a private company at Bhubaneswar. On April 26, the woman wanted to go Bhubaneswar and boarded an auto to Talcher road station as there was no facility from Talcher station. Her family members last time talked to her at 3.10pm but later when another call was made from his family members at about 4pm the mobile showed switched off. The woman couldn’t reach Talcher road station and the mishap occurred to her.
After being missing since April 26, the highly decomposed body of that woman was found in a field near Kuspangi village. Banarpal police was informed at about 2pm and rushed to the spot.it has started investigations as to how the woman died while coming to railway station.
Banarpal IIC Susanta Singh said it is premature to say whether there has been a gang rape or not.The scientific team and dogs have been called for investigations. So far her family members didn’t file any FIR in Banarpal police station. He didn’t confirm the gang-rape angle or ruled out stating that after the post mortem report, it will be confirmed.
