Angul Man Murdered on Holy Day

ANGUL:While holy was being celebrated peacefully all across the district with traditional gaiety a murder took place at Nakhara Sahi under Angul town police station.

One 32 year-old colour mistri was murdered by Mantu Samant Rai,40 by a sharp-edged weapon,

According to police,in the morning of holi Mantu had a verbal duel with Saroj bengra on business matter to which Azad Hussain,32 of the locality intervened that led to a fight between Azad and Mantu.People present there intervened and pacified both of them.

But Mantu didn’t forgive Azad and was determined to take revenge.Hours after Mantu went to Azad’s home and started abusing him.When Azad came out Mantu who had taken a sharp-edged weapon hit his head and stomach repeatedly injuring him very badly.Azad collapsed on the ground and was shifted to Angul DHH where he was declared dead.

Angul town police have arrested Mantu on the charge of murder and forwarded him to court.
