Dhenkanal: 35-year-old man clubbed to death in Kankadahad village

 DHENKANAL: A 35 year-old daily wage earner was clubbed to death today allegedly by three of his fellow villagers at about noon today.This murder took place near village Rupagada four kilometres away from kankadahad police station in Dhenkanal district.Police rounded up on the three suspects and are interrogating them in connection with the murder.The deceased has been identified as Gagan naik,35 of Rupagada village.

 

The detainees are Bitul Pradhan,Dilu Pradhan and Shankar Pradhan.All belong to Rupagada village. The wife of the deceased Pinkin Naik,32 has lodged a complaint in Kankadahad police station following the murder. She said in the complaint that she and her husband Gagan were returning from an agricultural field to their home.These three villagers intercepted them and beat her husband mercilessly.They left the injured Gagan thinking that he was dead.

 

 

 

 Kankadahad police on being informed rushed to the spot and shifted Gagan to Kamakhyanagar sub divisional hospital where doctor declared him dead.His body has been sent for post mortem.

Kamakhyanagar SDPO Snehasis Sahoo said,”As soon as we got the information about the murder we rushed to the spot and shifted Gagan lying on the ground to Kamkhyanagar hospital. Doctor declared him dead. We sent the body for a post mortem report.He We also immediately apprehended all the three suspects who were in the village and I am  interrogating them.After the investigation is complete we  will arrest and forwarded them to court.
