India will be a developed country by 2047: Dharmendra

Angul:Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan graced the Mo Mati ,Mo Desa programme at village Harekrishnapur,the native village of great freedom fighter Sarangdhar Das.He collected soil and offer puja in the temple and laid a massive pada yatra  towards the meeting place in the village.

Speaking on the occasion Pradhan has called upon people to make India a developed country by the year 2047.He administered the five oath to the gathering  on developing a strong corrupt free India.He said the soil collected from the nook and cornr of the country will finally reach Amar jawan Jyoti at New delhi.He said he is gratified  by coming to the village of Sarangdhar who had laid a great freedom struggle in 19th century.

 

 

 Pradhan said Sarangdhar was called Gadajat Gandhi. He also prayed his deep tribute to all other freedom fighters of undivided Dhenkanal district including Pabitra Mohan Pradhan and Vaishnab Pattnaik.The union minister also said that he had written a letter to  union communication minister Aswini Vaishanab to release postal stamp in memory of Sarangdhar Das.The postal stamp will be  very soon, he assured..

Pradhan also assured the villagers of erecting a statue of Sarangdhar Das in the village..IN his address, the union minister said he was pained to see the deteriorating condition of village primary school which was shown to him by village youths. He called upon state government to immediately take up the issue and write in the proper forum to him to do the needful.

In a rare gesture, the minister then rushed to the residence of the Dhenkanal collector Saroj Kumar Sethy along with  villagers and submitted a memorandum asking  for the renovation of the school. Among others Ex-MP Rudra Narayan Pani,Krishna Chandra Patra and Bibhuti Pradhan were present on the occasion.
