Madhya Pradesh: Umang Singhar Alleges 'Vote Theft' in Assembly Elections, Reveals Details of 27 Seats
Providing details of these seats, he claimed that the increase in voter numbers in these constituencies was significantly higher than the margin by which Congress candidates lost.
Addressing a press conference, Umang Singhar presented data-driven graphics and statistics, claiming that lakhs of voters were added just months before the elections. In constituencies where Congress candidates lost by narrow margins, the voter increase was found to be much higher than the margin of defeat.
He stated, “Vote theft occurred in more than 27 seats in the state, and this was done to provide undue advantage to the BJP.”
On Tuesday, Singhar shared detailed information about the assembly elections with reporters, presenting a table of 27 constituencies.
He said that in the 2023 assembly elections, Congress candidates in these 27 constituencies lost by very narrow margins. In those same areas, the voter increase was significantly higher than the margin of defeat, done to unfairly benefit the BJP.
The Leader of Opposition claimed that between January 5 and August 2, 2023 in seven months time, approximately 4.64 lakh voters were added. Similarly, between August 2 and October 4, 2023, in just two months, 16.05 lakh voters were added, meaning 26,000 voters were added daily.
He emphasized, “These are not just numbers; this is a fight to protect democracy.”
He further stated, “Rahul Gandhi’s revelation about vote theft has shaken the country. Madhya Pradesh has also been a major victim of this planned electoral conspiracy.”
