Nisha police detain murderer for killing one in Angul

ANGUL:Nisha police have detained one Amit Badhei,28 of Brajrajnagar area for murdering one Loknath Meher,Katarbaga area of Sambalpur. The body of Loknath was found by local villagers today morning while it was lying in a Kankarei nullah. The locals informed Nisa police who reached the spot. By that time Loknath’s family members who were searching for him from February 4 reached the spot and identified the body. Police immediately rushed to Brajarajnagar and nabbed the murderer Amit Badhe.

According to Nisa IIC Bibekananda Mohanta Amit had taken rupees 95,000 from Loknath to provide a job in Hingula mine of Talcher where he was working. As time passed on, the job was not available to Loknath; the latter asked for his money back. He put pressure on Amit and threatened to report to police on this matter. The IIC said Amit on February 4 went to Loknath’s house on a motorcycle and told him to come to Talcher for Talcher. They both came and on the way at Kankarei it was evening time. While Loknath was sitting near the nullah Amit brought a stone and crushed his head killing him on the spot. Then he fled to his native village at Brajraj Nagar.

IIC said, the body which was found today is about to be decomposed and sent for a post mortem report. The accused Amity has been arrested and forwarded to court,
