'Pavitra Rishta' fame actress Priya Marathe dies at 38
Reportedly,Priya Marathe had cancer a few years ago, she was also recovering from it, but she died on Sunday. She breathed her last at her residence in Mira Road. There is a wave of mourning in the Marathi film industry due to her demise.
Her departure at such a young age is no less than a shock for the fans. People are paying tribute to her on social media. Priya Marathe is known for popular TV serials like 'Pavitra Rishta', 'Char Divas Sasuche', 'Tu Tithe Me', 'Swarajyarakshak Sambhaji' and 'Ya Sukhanno'. She was famous for her acting not only among Marathi but also Hindi TV audiences.
Priya Marathe was born on 23 April 1987 in Thane. She made her acting debut in 2006 with the Marathi serial 'Ya Sukhano Ya'. She became famous in every household with her role Varsha in Ekta Kapoor's TV serial 'Pavitra Rishta'. She also appeared in important roles in Hindi TV serials 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain' and 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya'. Apart from TV serials, she also appeared in some Marathi films.
Priya Marathe's sudden demise is very sad news for her family and fans. Her departure is an irreparable loss for the Marathi film industry. Her contribution on the small screen will always be remembered.
