Rahul Gandhi Flags Off 'Run for Ambedkar' Marathon in Delhi, Swipes at BJP-RSS

(Fast Mail):--  Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, flagged off the “Run for Ambedkar, Run for Constitution” marathon in Delhi on Sunday.

The marathon was organized by the Scheduled Caste Department of the All India Congress Committee in collaboration with the Other Backward Classes Department.

Its objective is to spread awareness among the youth about Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Constitution and his ideas.

On this occasion, Rahul Gandhi said that the “Constitution” is Babasaheb’s biggest message. He stated that if the Constitution had not existed, India would not be in its present form today. Through this marathon, Congress wants to convey the core ideas of the Constitution and the message of equality to the youth.

Rahul Gandhi targeted the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing them of wanting to end the Constitution.

He said, “Today, RSS-BJP people want to abolish the Constitution because they do not want equality for everyone in the country.”

He further said that although BJP leaders are seen folding hands in front of Babasaheb Ambedkar’s statues, in their hearts they harbour the idea of ending the Constitution.

Rahul Gandhi said that Congress’s objective is to protect the Constitution and take its message to every corner of the country.

He added that the party wants every citizen to understand the importance of the Constitution and come forward to save it.

The marathon was jointly organized by Congress’s Scheduled Caste Department and Other Backward Classes Department, with an aim to increase social awareness through the participation of youth.
