Thorat resigns as the leader of party's legislature party in Maharashtra
MUMBAI:Senior Maharashtra Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat has resigned as the leader of the party's legislature party. Significantly, a day earlier, he had told the central leadership of the party that he could not work with the state president of the party, Nana Patole.
According to sources, despite Thorat being a senior leader, statements were being made against him and his family, and some people were trying to tarnish the image of Thorat and his family. Sources also termed Nana Patole as 'arrogant'.
On the other hand, Nana Patole has denied having written any letter, and said that he will be able to comment on it only when he knows what is written in the letter.
Balasaheb Thorat's assistant told quoting the letter that Thorat said that the state leadership of the party insulted him, and statements were made against his family regarding this matter.
