Uddhav Thackeray Compares BJP to Amoeba, Says Fighting for Justice is Becoming Treason In India
He criticised the BJP over the arrest of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk in connection with last month’s violence in Ladakh, stating that fighting for rights and justice in the country is increasingly being branded as treason.
Thackeray accused the BJP of attempting to create a divide between Hindus and Muslims ahead of Mumbai’s civic body elections. He remarked that there is no connection between the BJP and good governance.
Targeting RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Thackeray asked, “Are you satisfied with the poisonous fruits (referring to the BJP) born out of 100 years of RSS efforts?” The RSS held its annual Vijayadashami rally in Nagpur on the same day, marking 100 years since its formation.
On the alliance with the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, he said, “We have come together to stay together.”
The former CM added that after winning the civic body elections, Shiv Sena (UBT) will release a ‘white paper’ exposing the BJP’s “looting” in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
