Uncle Rapes 8-year-Old In A Talcher Village

TALCHER:In a shocking incident,a 19-year-old uncle has allegedly raped his 8-year-old niece in a Talcher village on Rakhi Purnima day .On the basis of the complaint of her father Angul town police have arrested the accused today and forwarded him as per the various provisions of law.

Police said,a man of Angul village had married 10 years ago and had a girl child.But unfortunately his first wife had died and he married to second one who belongs to a Talcher village. The man since then had been living with his second wife at his father-in-law’s house.His daughter has been living with her grand father and mother in Angul village.

On day of rakhi Purnima,the girl had come to his second mother’s house at Talcher village where she was subjected to rape by the brother of her second mother.How ver,after some days her father came to know. Later,he lodged a complaint in Angul town police station yesterday.Police after conducting an inquiry have arrested the accused who is uncle of that girl.

”We got the complaint from her father that she was raped by her uncle while she had gone to her uncle’s house to observe rakhi purnima.We immediately rushed to the village and picked up the accused.various sections of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and POCSO has been slapped against the accused.He is being forwarded to court today”,said Angul town PS IIC,Dhiresh Das.
