Video:Governor visits undivided Dhenkanal district

 ANGUL(FMNews) -As part of three day official visit of undivided Dhenkanal district Governor Raghubar Das was in Angul district today and attended a string of programmes in Angul and Talcher.Arriving at Angul circuit house this morning,the governor rushed to Anganwadi centre at Turang where he interacted with the children and advised the authorities to do their duties properly.Later,while interacting with self-help groups there he advised them to utilize various government programmes..

He said the foresightedness of the Prime Minister and his direction has brought out a change in women empowerment. He stressed the need for women participation for the developed and self-reliant India.

Later,he visited Baji Rout Chhatrabas and paid tribute to first chief minister Nabakrushna Choudhury there.He advised the students to have big dreams and work hard. He also gave financial assistance of rupees one lakh to the Chhtrabas.In the afternoon,the governor visited the drinking water project at Sikshyakpara and smart park in Angul.He also interacted beneficiaries of PM Awas Yoyana.He also visited Kandhabereni village in Talcher  and heard grievances of the tribal students and self-help groups.He advisided the students in ashram school there to give priority to education.Later,in the day the governor went to Maa Hingula mandir at Talcher and offered prayer there before leaving to Angul for night halt.

 

 Earlier,yesterday the governor arriving at Dhenkanal visited Kapilash temple and Joranda peetha as part of his first leg to undivided district.He also visited Deogaon Anganwadi Kendra and disposed of with the  operatives  authorities and students there. He also visited government girls high school there and discussed the teachers and students.He advised students there to acquire knowledge and wisdom during their studies.

In the afternoon yesterday Das visited Mahima Gadi and interacted with the saints there.He learnt from the saints about their problems and difficulties and assured them to do the needful.
