Delhi: CBI Raids AAP Leader Durgesh Pathak’s House; Aam Aadmi Party Targets BJP, Calls Raid a Vindictive Action
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has once again accused the central government of misusing central investigative agencies. On Thursday, party leader Saurabh Bhardwaj claimed through social media that the central government has started using the CBI to intimidate and harass AAP leaders.
The latest case involves Durgesh Pathak, who was recently appointed as the co-in-charge for the 2027 Gujarat Assembly elections by AAP. Just days after his appointment, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a raid at his residence on Thursday morning. The Aam Aadmi Party has termed this incident as a politically motivated act of revenge.
In a post on X,Saurabh Bhardwaj said,“In the last Gujarat elections, BJP got our leaders arrested out of fear due to AAP’s strong presence. Now, as soon as Durgesh Pathak has been given the responsibility for Gujarat, the CBI has been unleashed on him.”
AAP further stated that BJP now sees the Aam Aadmi Party as a major opposition force in Gujarat, which is why they are scared. According to the party, this raid is a sign that BJP is unnerved by AAP’s continuous expansion.
Through a social media post, Atishi said, “As soon as AAP started preparing for the Gujarat elections, CBI reached the house of Gujarat co-in-charge Durgesh Pathak for a raid! Only AAP can challenge BJP in Gujarat, and this raid shows their frustration! Even after so many years, BJP hasn’t understood that we are not the ones to be scared by their threats.”
Manish Sisodia, in a social media post, stated, “As soon as Durgesh Pathak was given the responsibility for the 2027 Gujarat elections, CBI raided his house! This is not a coincidence; it’s a conspiracy born out of BJP’s fear. BJP knows that only AAP can challenge them in Gujarat now, and this truth has shaken them. The echo of their fear is clearly heard in the CBI’s knock”.
