Two labourers die coming contact with live wire in Angul village

ANGUL:Two daily wage earners died in Poktunga village under bantala police station after coming into live wire late last night.The deceased have been identified as Sura Pradhan,30 and his wife Sukanti Pradhan,28.Both the husband,wife belong to Purunakot area and was engaged as daily wage earners in a farm house of Poktunga village.The fam house is owned by one Bhagirathi dehury of that village.

Bantala IIC Sangita Mohapatra said the husband wife among other labourers were working in the farm house in the evening.There is a solar power connections in the farm house.How ever,incidentally both these husband and wife while working came into contact with live wire laid in the farm house.The duo ded on the spot..

A case has been registered in the police station in this connection.

She said today morning,the father of the Sura Jataka Pradhan had lodged a police complaint in this connection that his son and daughter-in-law died in the farm house owned by Bhagirathi Dehury.

“On being informed,we rushed to the spot in the night itself and seized the bodies for post-mortem today. We also thoroughly investigated the factors that led to the death of two persons.Initially,we have registered a case of unnatural death while the further investigations are on”,said the IIC.
