Fact Check: Israeli PM's son leaves for war, what is the truth behind this viral photo?

TEL AVIV: Six days have passed since the Israel-Hamas war started, but there is no hope of peace. About 3000 people have lost their lives from both sides of Israel and Gaza Strip in this war. Meanwhile, a photo is increasingly becoming  viral on social media in which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is seen bidding farewell to his son. While sharing this photo,it is being said that the Prime Minister's son is going to fight with the Hamas Group in war. The parents are full of pride while bidding farewell to their son… L

Actually, this picture is not from the recent war, but from 2014. Netanyahu's youngest son, Avner Netanyahu, began his military service in 2014. On December 2, 2014, a Facebook post titled 'I Stand in Support of Israel' with a viral image reported that Avner Netanyahu had begun military service in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). According to an old report by Times of Israel, this picture is of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara, who are seen with their son Avner on Ammunition Hill in Jerusalem.

Another article in the Times of Israel dated December 30, 2014, reported that Avner Netanyahu was slightly injured during IDF training. The article features a photo taken on December 1, 2014, with the caption "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, are seen with their son Avner as he prepares to begin his IDF service." This proves that the old photo of 2014 has been wrongly shared by linking it to war.

Along with this, an old video is being made viral by linking it to the recent Israel-Palestine war. Videos of paratroopers from Egypt and Syria bombing Raqqa mosques are also being falsely shared as Palestine war.
