Navodaya Vidyalay will help build new Odisha: Pradhan

Angul:The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said Navodaya Vidyalaya which gives new life to the students is an ideal and important.He was speaking today at the Silver Jublee of Old Students Association of PM Shree Jabahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Champatimunda here.

He said in this school which was set up in 1987 many poor and middle class students are getting studies.The school happens to be a mechanism to blossom rural talents.

Pradhan also laid the foundation of multi-purpose meeting hall and integrated sports complex worth of rupees 6.65crores.The students will get immense benefit by these two complex and will help improve their self-confidence and rejuvenate the sporting spirit among them.

Pradhan in this function also distributed footballs to the students stating that 900 footballs will be distributed in 159 schools in Angul district.

Highlighting the goals of Navodaya Vidyalaya, he said it is a factory to build human beings in the field of education and sports. Congratulating the school, he said there are many students who are qualifying for IIT and Medical colleges from the school.He hoped and trust that Navodaya schools will build in Angul,New Odisha and New India.

Recalling their the contribution of former chief minister Nabakrushna Choudhury and Malati Devi in establishing a government college in the region he paid tributes to them.

Ex-MP Rudra narayan Pani among others attended the meeting which was attended by old students of Navodayala Vidyalaya of Champatimunda.
