Health minister reviews the health situation in Angul district

 ANGUL:The state health and parliamentary minister Muksh Mahaling was here today to attend international yoga day and to hold district review meeting on health. The minister in first place was the chief guest at the International Yoga Day held at high school ground. He stressed on practicing yoga for maintaining body and mind.He underlined the spread of yoga at all the places of the state for the betterment of mankind. MLAs Pratap Pradhan,Agasti Behera,Ashok Mohanty besides the state officials and a large number of students attended the yoga session.

The minister later held a review meeting on health with collector and health officials of the district.The minister particularly reviewed the on-going progress of Pabitra Mohan Medical College and Hospital at Talcher and hoped that the college and hospital will start functioning soon.He also asked officials to provide better health care to the people particularly at the remote areas.

 

 International yoga day was also observed in Jindal and Power,Nalco and NTPC Kaniha. In Jindal and Power the executive director Pankaj Mallan was the chief guest.Yoga practice was conducted by JSP employees in its area.

Similarly the executive director of Nalco N S Subramanian was the chief guest on international yoga day,At NTPC Kaniha the yoga day was celebrated in a befitting manner where the executive director K N Reddy was the chief guest. Mahaling also visited district headquarter hospital and discussed with doctors and staff besides patients.
