Pradhan sets a target of plantation in Angul district
He said this campaign is a dedication to the future generation. Pradhan also said Angul district has been highly polluted where the environment has been affected very badly.He underlined the need to protect the environment along with production of coal.
He called upon people from all walks of life to plant trees in a massive manner. Stating that this year,there were 7.5lakhs sapling has been targeted to plant. He said by September next there will be ten lakh plantation.
Appealing to people to take care of the sapling, he called upon to make Talcher and Angul greenery. He stressed on the current plantation drive to be a mass movement.
In the meanwhile, he inaugurated a smart class room and dining hall and other buildings worth of rupees 1.37 crore sanctioned by both centre and state governments.
Recalling his childhood days in the school Pradhan said in the school he studied primary classes. The schools of such type will not only help the children to grow but also build their personality and nation building. The self-confidence among the Handidhuan School students will flourish till 2047.
Later in the afternoon, the union minister addressed a meeting at Chhendipada where he listed achievements of the Modi government and Mohan Majhi government in providing basic amenities to the people.
All along Dhenkanal MP Rudra Narayan Pani among others accompanied the minister.
