UN warning: By 2050, India will be the country with the most water crisis in the world

New York, Mar 23, (Fast Mail News):-- It is said that the next world war will be about water. A report by the United Nations has warned about the global water crisis. It has been said in this report that by the year 2050, India will be the country facing the most water crisis in the world. The situation in Pakistan and China will also worsen due to the weakening of flow in many rivers.

The United Nations has released the United Nations World Water Report ahead of the United Nations Water Conference. In this report, it has been said about the water crisis in front of the world's 2.4 billion urban population. It is reported that more than three fourth of the population in Asia is facing water crisis. Among these, this crisis is the most on Northeast China, India and Pakistan. It is estimated that India will be the most affected by this crisis. Due to the melting of glaciers, the flow of major Himalayan rivers like Indus, Ganga and Brahmaputra will reduce.

The report claimed that at present 26 percent of the world's population is not getting clean water to drink. Only 46 percent of the population is able to take advantage of safe drinking water. On an average, two and a half billion people in the world struggle with water scarcity for at least one month in a year.

UNESCO Director General Andre Azoulay has said that there is an urgent need to make efforts before we can get out of this global crisis. Water is like blood for humanity. It is essential for life, health, resilience, development of people. Time is not on our side and there is a lot to do.
