Wild boar rescued from an open well in Chhendipada
Angul:A six-year-old male wild boar was successfully rescued was successfully rescued from an open well by a team of forest officials today before it succumbed.The boar in last night while came to it standing paddy crops fell into an open well dug by the villagers.The animal was hale and happy after a three hour long operation and it was released to wild by the forest officials.This had happened in a paddy field near Golagadia village under Chhendipada forest range.
According to ranger,S Mohapatra at about 5am she got an information in early morning that a wild boar had falled in an open well near billage Golagadia.She immediately sent a team of forest officials to the spot who found the well was having 6 to 8 ft of water.The offivcials started rewscue operations with the help of rope and got it ragged from the well.Then it was released to wild.She said there was no injuries or any abnormality in its health after rescue.
The range r said in Chhendiapda Range are the wild boar were coing in a massive numbers to paddy fields have posed a problem for the farmers during the harvesting seson.They become also a headeque for the forest department also,she added.
