Bihar Election 2025: IPS officers, doctors, engineers, and Bhojpuri artists are all in the fray this time
According to reports, leaders from the NDA and the Grand Alliance, as well as other parties, have nominated some of these professionals as candidates. However, several others have also entered the electoral fray as independents.IPS officers, former IPS officers are trying their luck in the Bihar Assembly elections. Anand Mishra, a former IPS officer from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, has entered the fray.
In addition, Sunil Kumar, a retired DG, is contesting for the second time on a JDU ticket. Former ADG-rank officer Jaiprakash Singh and retired DG-rank officer RK Mishra have been nominated by Prashant Kishore's party, Jansuraaj. Shivdeep Lande, who retired from the IG post, is now contesting as an independent.
Dr. Sunil Kumar will contest from Biharsharif on a BJP ticket. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar is also contesting from Parbatta. Jansuraj has given tickets to a maximum of 16 doctors. According to reports, former IGIMS Director Dr. Arun Kumar, senior paediatrician Dr. Lal Babu Prasad, retired medical officer Dr. Shashishekhar Sinha, and renowned doctor Dr. Ajit Kumar of Gayaji have been given tickets, among others.
Several engineers are also contesting this time. Engineer Ajit Kumar is contesting from Kanti, Engineer Hemant Paswan from Barachatti, and Abhishank Kumar from Alauli. Apart from this, if we talk about Bhojpuri artists, apart from Maithili Thakur, Ritesh Pandey, Seema Singh, Vinay Bihar and Khesari Lal Yadav, other Bhojpuri artists were given tickets.
