India set to become global hub of medical technology and devices with market size to reach 50 billion by 2050: Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya

New Delhi, Aug 10:-- Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya with Union Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers Bhagwant Khuba, addressed the Curtain Raiser of India MedTech Expo 2023 in New Delhi today.

 

Health Minister said that India is set to become the global hub of medical technology and devices with the market size estimated to reach 50 billion US Dollars by 2050.

 

He added that with effective implementation of the recently unveiled National Medical Devices Policy 2023, we are confident of fostering the Medical Devices sector which is considered as one of the sunrise sectors in the country.

 

 

India MedTech Expo 2023 will be India’s first medical technology expo under the theme of India: The Next MedTech Global Hub; Future of Devices, Diagnostics, and Digital.

 

It will be held on the sidelines of the G20 Health Ministers Meeting in Gandhinagar, Gujarat from 17 to 19 August 2023 embodying India’s aspirations for the MedTech sector.
