MVA finalises seat- sharing in Maharasthra:Congress to contest 17, NCP 10 and Shiv Sena (UBT) in 21 seats

MUMBAI: The seat-sharing on all 48 Lok Sabha seats in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) -- led by Shiv Sena-Uddhav Thackeray, Congress and Nationalist Congress Party-Sharad Pawar -- has been finalised, Sena leader Sanjay Raut has informed.

According to the seat-sharing agreement, Uddhav Thackeray's Sena will contest on 21 seats, Congress on 17 and Sharad Pawar's NCP on 10 seats. Below is the list of seats on which MVA parties will contest the upcoming elections.

All the three parties are also part of the Opposition's I.N.D.I.A bloc to challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance in the upcoming elections.

Uddhav Thackeray said it is sad that Prakash Ambedkar is not with him.”We are fighting elections together.Several rounds of talks were held among the top leaders regarding seat sharing in the Mahavikas Aghadi.

Shiv Sena-Congress leaders were contesting some seats. After the party split, Sharad Pawar's NCP and Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena will contest the Lok Sabha elections for the first time.

Criticising BJP, Sharad Pawar said,” PM is an institution. I have seen many PMs but no one insulted this post. PM Modi makes irresponsible statements”.

Uddhav Thackeray said that PM Modi had come to Maharashtra yesterday. Yesterday's speech was not of a PM but of a Bhrast(corrupt) Janata Party leader. PM Modi is the leader of the “Chanda Dou Party.
